Back in ’09 I had a vacation in Venice. My first trip to Venice, and I had a lovely time. One of the shots I wanted was a view of the Grand Canal from the Accademia Bridge. When I got there I had to compete with a German camera club for a spot to shoot from. One thing you don’t realize until you get there is that the Accedemia Bridge is made of wood and vibrates with foot traffic. With shutters speeds dropping like a stone post sunset, this was problematical. The solution was to move to the southern end of the bridge where vibration was minimal, but I still got a nice angle.
